Term sheet

Term sheet is a document confirming that the parties of the future investment contract – the founder and the investor – agree on the key terms of the transaction and their further cooperation. This document is a kind of “negotiation protocol” and its provisions are then transferred to the investment agreement. It is usually written in a “business” language as opposed to a formal “legalese” of the final contract.
