Since the beginning of January, founders from Eastern Poland have the opportunity to submit applications in the Unicorn Hub Launchpad project. As part of the project, they can get support in the development of their innovative startups on their way to the global market. The program offers the founders comprehensive care coordinated by a dedicated incubation manager. The program is addressed primarily to students, innovators and creative people with entrepreneurial potential that intend to create companies and implement their ideas in Eastern Poland – both for individuals and academic teams. Unicorn Hub is specialized in the field of to IT / ICT, medicine / public health and smart city / transport.

The qualified startups will receive a package of basic services related to running an enterprise, including: workspace, accounting services, tax consultancy, legal services, organizational and marketing support, mentoring, access to workshops in the field of public speaking and preparation of presentations for pitching sessions.

Importantly, they will also receive specialist support to facilitate the development of projects and their investment readiness. The basis for this support will be the verification of business concepts by experienced professionals. The founders will also gain access to industry experts and scientists, and to the business ecosystem that includes other entrepreneurs, representatives of the VC investor community and business angels. Dedicated models of cooperation will be worked out, to facilitate acquisition of partners whose participation will help develop the project and increase its value. Incubated projects will also be developed during intensive design sprint workshops. Testing the attractiveness and investment maturity of projects will be possible during demo day meetings, when projects will be presented to potential venture capital investors, business angels and industry investors. The projects will be developed using lean startup and customer development methodologies, based on rapid and intensive testing of products, aimed at the earliest possible verification of the basic assumptions of the projects and their improvement based on real customer feedback. At the end of the incubation process, the project will be ready both to enter the market and to effectively attract investors.

Selected projects will have a chance to receive a grant of up to PLN 800 000 or to raise capital from private investors.

The program will be implemented from 2.1.2019 to 31.12.2022. Support will be offered to up to 160 startups. You can find more information and apply on the Unicorn Hub website.
