Contract with AGH special purpose entity

The INNOventure investment fund and the Krakowskie Centrum Innowacyjnych Technologii INNOAGH have signed a cooperation agreement. The aim of the agreement is to invest – at an early stage of development – into innovative undertakings, including research and development projects as well as spin-off companies having unique technologies based on intellectual property created at AGH.
INNOAGH is a special purpose company of the AGH University of Science and Technology, which is responsible for the commercialization of research results by creating and investing in innovative enterprises set up by AGH employees based on technologies developed at the university. The company has already successfully introduced to the market thirteen innovative spin-off companies whose products and services are based on AGH’s intellectual property.
INNOventure is an investment fund created in cooperation with the National Centre for Research and Development under the BRIdge Alfa program. The Fund co-finances results of research and development works in the Proof-of-Principle (PoP) and Proof-of-Concept (PoC) phases in order to increase their supply and attractiveness for capital and industry investors.
Joint venture of the fund and the special purpose company of the university is a great opportunity for scientists to put their projects on the market.
As part of the cooperation, INNOAGH will carry out identification, selection and preliminary analysis of ongoing or completed research and development works, which have a real chance of achieving market success. Then INNOventure representatives will conduct a business analysis of projects selected by INNOAGH and, if the idea is verified successfully, they will develop a strategy for its development and identify sources of financing. The next step will be the joint establishment of a spin-off company that will develop the project and launch it on the market. The agreement between INNOventure and INNOAGH presents a transparent path of conduct, which describes the steps in the development of new companies, as well as protects intellectual property and the interests of AGH and scientists.
The contract between INNOventure and the Krakow Innovative Technologies Center INNOAGH was signed on October 21st, 2015.
